Among them, she has served as the muse to everyone from Nicolas Ghesquière to Tom Ford; covered every major Vogue under the sun; and crossed over into acting with various film roles. Kebede made history becoming the first black spokesmodel for Estée Lauder. She is currently a face of LÓreal Paris.
Kebede is the founder of lemlem and lemlem Foundation and actively serves as the brand’s Creative Director. In recognition of her body of work and her philanthropic efforts on behalf of women in Africa, Kebede was named one of TIME magazine’s 100 Most Influential People and one of Glamour Magazine’s Women of the Year.
